Distributor's Notes
DECANTER 2023 WORLD WIDE AWARDS BEST IN SHOW 97PTS In contrast to our Best in Show Vintage Champagne, this non-vintage Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is clearly a youthful wine – but one with impressive potential. Pale and fine-beaded, its taut, mouth-watering scents of ivy leaf, plant sap, green apple and green grape contrive to suggest both exceptional vineyard origins but also a relatively low dosage. On the palate, the wine is pure, deep, vinous and driving, with fine-bladed intensity. Pristine, structural acidity carries it towards a high-focus, faintly saline finish, once again suggesting soil, stone and fruit rather than yeast and a concluding liqueur. Yes, it’s young, but you could age this pure, refined Blanc de Blancs for up to a decade (if you have cool cellaring conditions) to great benefit.

Producer Description
The renewal of Maison Collery is a long journey based on strong convictions to reveal our most sincere expression of champagne terroirs and the ambition to make great wines. Collery is above all a story of passion, which connects man to the earth, with this certainty that creating a great champagne begins at the foot of the vine whose grapes are the very essence of wine. If the Champagne region is a terroir of incomparable richness, it is also an unrivalled playground that systematically drives our creativity. As for a puzzle, we take the time to find each piece that will harmoniously compose our vintages and give the desired typicity. To achieve this, we work with grape growers who share our philosophy and our attachment to the importance of the vineyard management that is essential to the aromatic expression of the grapes sought after. Because the terroir is nothing without the work of man and without his involvement and it is the grapes that hold in them all the qualities and authenticity of their terroir. With an exclusively Grand Cru grape sourcing, our aim is to combine our grapes with precision by highlighting their typicality and their geological diversity to highlight the influence of the mineral on the fruit. We strive to vinify our wines in an exacting, precise, and patient manner without ever taking the easy way out. The vinifications are made on lees in casks or stainless-steel vats and our wines are made up of 40% reserve wines. They are neither filtered nor fined and clarification occurs naturally as soon as the wine allows it. We give our wines a lengthy ageing time to allow them to express their personality. House Collery elaborates its wines from Champagne with Pinot Noir as a backbone – conferring a tight, refined, and complex style – while Chardonnay grapes bring freshness and festiveness. Our ambition is that you have as much joy tasting our wines as we have had elaborating them. Because every gesture, every step, has been made with incredible pleasure and a desire to give the best of ourselves, so that each tasting elicits a particular emotion, sublimates the present moment and becomes an extraordinary experience.
